A man was killed and three others were seriously injured when a patrol fire broke out in a village in Narayanapura village in the taluk of the district.
Nagappa Hagaragunda (35) was killed in the incident and a man named Sharanappa Hagaragunda has been convicted. The victims of the incident have been identified as Siddaramappa Murala (62), Muthappa Murala and Nagappa Sharanappa Saroor.
For a few days, she had a quarrel with her husband Sharanappa and his wife, Huligamma. The father and three relatives of his wife, Hulikamma, had come to advise Sarappan. At this, Sharanappa had gathered four people in a room and poured petrol and set fire to it.
The incident took place at Narayanapur police station.
Huligamma was working as a mechanic at KSRTC in Lingasur, Raichur district. Hulikamma has been home elsewhere for the past 14 months. Sharanappa's wife had asked for divorce from her husband. But she refused to divorce. Huligamma's father and relatives came to Narayanapura's house this morning to talk to her husband. But I did not come to Hulikamma Narayanapur and went to work. And don't even talk to the parents.
